What is the Electro-Acuscope / Myoscope Therapy System?
There are two medical instruments that are involved with the therapy system. The Acuscope opens up the treatment areas and the Myoscope treats specific areas. Both are FDA approved to treat diagnostically and therapeutically, injuries that evolve in the competitive world of horses. They both use micro current, which is the electrical current occurring naturally in the horse's cells. This current is low voltage and low amp.
How do these instruments work?
The instruments establish feedback from the bio-feed back system in the area of the horse being treated. The computer circuitry monitors the cells and formulates an individual treatment. This program adjusts the treatment to the level of cell current needed in the area of the treatment. The conductivity levels of cells are very low in an area of chronic pain and abnormally high in the areas of inflammation. Treatments by these instruments correct these abnormalities by creating currents in wave forms similar to the horse's own electrical signals. An infinitely variable wave form allows the instruments to constantly change its treatment according to the cell structure needs.
The Acuscope is programmed to generate a square wave form pattern to damaged nerve tissues in the horse, in order for the horse to return to a normal pain free condition. The Myoscope sends a sloped waved to a specific area, such as muscle and other connective tissue, to return the cells to a normal, healthy state. While providing beneficial electrical current, the treatments cause the horse's body to improve circulation, produce and more effectively utilize proteins and other nutrients required for cell metabolism and repair. With this treatment, the instrument assists the horse's body in accelerating the natural self-healing process by over 50%.
